Privacy Notice

How YourGame.ie collects, uses, shares and protects personal information.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

Who we are

YourGame.ie is operated by Your Game Your Sport Media Limited, registered in Ireland under company number 820163. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.

Questions and requests can be sent to privacy@yourgame.ie. We will deal with requests as quickly as possible and respond without undue delay and within one month. If the GDPR permits extra time for an unusually complex request, we will explain this within the first month.

Information we collect

Account and profile information: your first name, surname, email address, display name, age band, county, profile description, visibility choices and sporting interests. Your first name, surname and email address are private account details; your chosen display name is shown to other members.

Content and participation: teams and clubs you follow, posts, comments, reactions, match reports, team and training updates, player lists, scores, photographs, short videos, notifications and moderation appeals.

Requests and correspondence: contact messages, team-registration requests, duplicate reports, privacy requests, commercial enquiries and reports of website problems.

Technical and security information: sign-in and session information, approximate network and device information, security events, form-protection results and service logs needed to run and protect the site.

We also publish information about sporting organisations, teams, fixtures, results and public stories obtained from community contributors and official or publicly available sources. If this includes personal information about you and you believe it is inaccurate or should not appear, contact us.

Why we use information

We use personal information to create and manage accounts, personalise feeds, publish and share community sports content, operate fixtures and results, provide notifications, answer enquiries, prevent abuse, moderate content, investigate reports, hear appeals, maintain records and improve the service.

Depending on the activity, our legal basis is performance of our agreement with members, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and useful community sports network, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is specifically requested. We do not sell personal information.

Public content and young people

Posts, match reports, photographs, videos and public profile information may be visible to other people and shared outside YourGame.ie. Contributors must have permission to publish material they upload and must not include private contact, medical, address or date-of-birth information.

The account service is intended for people aged 16 or over. Extra care is required where content concerns children. Do not publish a child’s full date of birth, home address, contact details, medical information or other information that could create a safety risk. Parents, guardians and young people can contact us to request prompt review or removal.

Moderation and appeals

We use automated checks and human review to identify spam, unsafe material and possible rule breaches. Automated checks may hold or flag content for review, but members can appeal a removal decision from the moderation-appeals section of My Profile. Appeals receive a further review and can also be sent to privacy@yourgame.ie.

Who receives information

Public material is available to visitors and members according to the visibility and publication choices used. We use service providers to operate the platform, including Supabase for accounts, database and storage, Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare Turnstile for security and Resend for service emails. They process information for us under their applicable contractual and security arrangements.

Some providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer safeguards. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a properly managed business reorganisation.

How long we keep information

Account information is generally kept while an account is active. Community content, correspondence, moderation and security records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for publication, safety, dispute resolution, legal obligations and the establishment or defence of legal claims. Backup copies expire through the service providers’ normal backup cycles.

Deleting an account removes the member’s account, profile, follows, community posts and associated uploads. Limited information may be retained or anonymised where the law permits or requires it, including necessary safety, legal and published editorial records.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR and applicable exceptions, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain uses. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also delete your account in My Profile.

We may need to verify identity before completing a request. There is normally no fee. You can complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, and you may contact us first so that we have the opportunity to address the concern.

Security, cookies and changes

We use access controls, restricted administrative tools, private media storage, authentication protections and abuse prevention measures. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and tell us promptly about a suspected problem.

Our Cookie Policy explains the essential browser technologies currently used. We may update this notice as the service develops. Material changes will be highlighted on the site and the date above will be updated.
